Ski Resorts
Nubs Nob, Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain are all close by with over 160 downhill runs and terrific terrain parks for snowboarders.

Snowmobiling
The Petoskey Area, including parts of Emmet County and Charlevoix County, is home to more than 140 miles of forested pathways that take you through some of the area’s most breathtaking winter scenery.

Parks & Recreation
Twenty-four park sites, including shared properties owned by other governmental units, are maintained by the Department of Parks and Recreation and comprise 1,260 acres.

Arts & Culture

Crooked Tree Arts Center

Founded in 1971, Crooked Tree Arts Center features four galleries, a theater, dance studio, classrooms, a culinary arts kitchen, and much more. Located just across the street from Little Bay Cottage in Downtown Petoskey. Art galleries are free and open to the public.

Great Lakes Center for the Arts
Opened in 2018 in Bay Harbor (Petoskey) this Cultural Center serves to inspire, entertain and educate by presenting exceptional experiences across the full spectrum of the performing arts and offering impactful educational opportunities.
